Parts inventory

Parts inventory that counts itself

Parts drop from stock as they go on invoices. Reorder levels flag the fast movers, purchase orders go to your suppliers, and you see the margin on every part.

How a reorder level is set

A simple rule many shops use: reorder level = average weekly use × supplier lead time in weeks + a safety buffer. Example numbers only.

1

Rack, row, position

Store the location of each part so a technician can find it without asking.

2

Stock moves with the invoice

Invoicing a part reduces stock automatically; returns put it back.

3

Suppliers and purchase orders

Raise purchase orders, receive stock against them and keep supplier balances.

4

Transfers between shops

On Fleet, move parts between locations with a stock transfer.

Units and variants

Sell oil by the litre, tyres by size

Units

Piece, set, pair, litre, quart, gallon or box, with conversions between purchase and sale units.

Variations

Tyre size, brand or viscosity as variations of one product, each with its own stock and price.

Barcodes

Use the maker's barcode or print your own labels for bins and loose parts.

Expiry and lots

Track lots and expiry dates for fluids and chemicals where it matters.

What it doesn’t do (yet)

  • Live supplier catalogues and online parts ordering are not built in; ask on your demo about integrations.
  • Core charges can be handled as separate lines; there is no automatic core-return tracking.

We would rather you know this before the trial than after.

Diagnostics

Scan the codes: questions shop owners ask

STK-S201Can I print barcode labels for parts?

Yes. Print barcode labels on a label printer and scan them at the counter.

STK-S202Can I track parts by location on the shelf?

Yes. Rack, row and position fields record where each part lives.

STK-S203Does stock update when I invoice?

Yes. Invoicing reduces stock, and sales returns add it back.

STK-P204Can I raise purchase orders?

Yes. Create purchase orders for suppliers, receive stock against them and track what you owe.

STK-P205Can I see my parts margin?

Yes. Each part has a cost and a selling price, and profit reports show margin by product.

STK-P206Can I use a markup matrix?

Set selling prices per part or use price groups; many shops apply a matrix when importing prices. See our guide on markup matrices.

STK-S207Can I import my parts list?

Yes. Use the product CSV template; the first import is free during onboarding.

STK-S208Can I track tyres by size?

Yes. Use variations (size, brand) and attributes to stock tyres.
