Hardware guide
The hardware you need is probably on your counter already
AutoShop POS runs in a browser, so a PC or tablet is enough to start. This is the full kit list, from required to nice-to-have. We don't sell hardware; buy from anyone.

What it doesn’t do (yet)

- Integrated card payments (terminal talks to the POS) depend on your processor; standard setup records payments taken on a separate terminal.
We would rather you know this before the trial than after.
Diagnostics
Scan the codes: questions shop owners ask
HW-B201What is the minimum hardware?
One device with a browser. Everything else is optional and can be added later.
HW-B202Do you sell hardware?
No. Buy from any supplier or ask a hardware partner; this page lists what works.
HW-P203Can I print A4 invoices and thermal receipts?
Yes. Choose the layout per location: A4/Letter for invoices and estimates, 80 mm for receipts.
HW-P204Do I need special printer drivers?
Standard drivers work through the browser print dialog; network receipt printers can be set up for direct printing.
HW-S205Can a scanner read a VIN?
Yes. Many vehicles have a VIN barcode on the door jamb or registration; a 2D scanner reads it into the VIN field.
HW-P206Which card terminals work?
Any terminal from your processor or bank. You record the payment in AutoShop POS after it is approved on the terminal.
HW-P207Can I take JazzCash or Easypaisa?
Yes, as payment methods you record; the money goes to your own wallet or merchant account.
HW-B208Which tablets work best in the bays?
Any 10-inch tablet with a current browser. Use a rugged case and keep it charged on a wall mount.
