Every AutoShop POS account includes an online store built from your catalogue. You do not design pages or upload products twice: the services and parts you have already added become store listings, with the same names and prices. This guide covers choosing what appears, making listings look good and sharing the link.
Before you start
- Add your labour and fixed-price services and parts.
- Make sure tax rates are right, because store prices use the same product prices and tax settings.
- Collect a few clear photos: your shop front, the bays, and pictures of common parts or service work. Photos you took yourself are best.
- Read the online store page for what the store is designed to do.
Steps
- Find your store settings. Open the store or e-commerce section from the main menu. The menu may be labelled slightly differently on your account; ask support if you cannot see it.
- Check the shop details. Confirm the store shows your business name, logo, address and phone number. These come from your business and location settings, so fix them there if anything is wrong.
- Decide what to list. Good candidates are fixed-price services (oil service, brake inspection, AC check, wheel alignment), popular parts and accessories. Hide items like labour-by-the-hour, shop supplies and internal codes.
- Set products to show or hide. Open each product, or use the product list, and choose whether it is shown in the store.
- Write customer-friendly names. “Front brake pads – ceramic (most sedans)” sells better than a bare part number. Keep the part number in the SKU.
- Add descriptions. For services, say what is included and roughly how long the car is needed. For parts, give fitment notes where you know them, and say “ask us to confirm fitment for your VIN” otherwise.
- Add images. Upload one clear image per product. Square images around 800 pixels wide look tidy in product grids.
- Organise by category. Products are grouped by your product categories, so check category names read well to a customer: “Brakes”, “Filters”, “Servicing”.
- Open the store link. Copy the store’s public address and open it in a private browser window to see it as a customer would.
- Share it. Add the link to your Google Business Profile, social media bios, WhatsApp Business catalogue message and email signature.
Check it worked
- The store opens in a private browser window without logging in.
- Only the products you chose to show appear, with the right prices and tax display.
- Changing a price in AutoShop POS updates the store listing.
- Contact details on the store match your shop.
If you also want a full website with service pages and online booking, see the managed shop website service.
Common problems
- A product does not appear. It is set to hidden, inactive, or has no selling price. Check all three on the product.
- Prices look different from the counter. The store may show prices including or excluding tax differently from your invoices. Check the inclusive/exclusive setting on the product and ask support if the display still looks wrong.
- Images look cropped. Very tall or very wide images are cropped to fit. Use square photos.
- Customers ask whether a part fits their car. Say so in the description, and invite them to message you with the VIN or plate before ordering.
